Heritage CPAs PLLC is a full‐service tax and accounting firm in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma offering a wide variety of tax and accounting services to meet the needs of both individuals and businesses.

Our mission is to provide our clients with outstanding tax, accounting and consulting services with a personal touch. We strive to empower our clients by implementing practical solutions that are focused on their needs and aspirations. We are committed to providing valuable insight to enable our clients to navigate the fluctuating financial landscape with confidence. We believe accounting is more than record keeping. It is about creative strategies to achieve goals and overcome challenges. We offer a wide variety of tax, accounting, and bookkeeping services to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

Our Team

Jeffrey J Bowser, Partner

Jeff is a Certified Public Accountant with a Masters in Accounting from Oklahoma City University and a BBA in Finance from Texas Christian University. Jeff has over 30 years’ experience in public accounting. He served as a tax manager with a local accounting firm from 1993 until 2000 when he joined Steakley & Gilbert PC which later became CPAOKC PLLC. His strong working relationship with fellow team members led to the creation of Heritage CPAs PLLC in June 2021. Jeff’s focus areas within the firm include corporate and individual tax, accounting, and financial statement reporting. During his free time, Jeff loves to play tennis, travel, and spend time with his family and friends.

Rick L Garrett, Partner

Rick is a Certified Public Accountant and is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma, holding degrees in both accounting and finance. Rick began his accounting career at RSM (previously Cole & Reed PC). With RSM, his primary area of focus was providing tax compliance, consulting, and planning services to clients in the construction, real estate, and private equity industries. These services continued to grow to cover both individuals and businesses when he joined CPAOKC PLLC in July 2018. As a partner at Heritage CPAs PLLC, Rick’s expertise of business management coupled with his vast tax and accounting knowledge ensures that he possesses the experience necessary to serve as a trusted partner to all sizes and types of individuals and businesses. On just about any weekend, you’ll find Rick at his favorite fishing hole or spending time with his wife and children.

Edward J. Havrilla, Partner

Eddy is a Certified Public Accountant with an MBA in Accounting & Finance from Georgia State University and a BBA in Accounting from the University of Georgia and he has served over 40 years in public accounting. He was the founding partner of Havrilla & Goranson PC for 30 years before the firm merged into CPAOKC PLLC. Prior to Havrilla & Goranson PC, he was an Audit Supervisor with Coopers & Lybrand. Eddy’s vast experience with tax and accounting makes him an incredibly valuable member of Heritage CPAs PLLC. Eddy’s desire to grow and develop his younger partners will allow him to start dreaming of slower days. His favorite title of “Oodad” is called by grandkids and when he’s not at work, you’ll find him enjoying life with his family and vast array of friends.

Valerie McCall, Tax Manager

Valerie is a Certified Public Accountant with a BBA in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma and has over 30 years of experience in both public and private accounting & taxation. Valerie spent 5 years in public accounting starting with Grant Thornton & then Murrell, Hall, McIntosh Co. She later worked for 6 years for a high‐net‐worth family group where she gained valuable experience including foreign taxation and investments, worked as a Tax Senior for a multi‐national public company gaining experience with consolidations and international tax issues, and joined CPAOKC PLLC in January 2016. She now serves as a Tax Manager with Heritage CPAs PLLC and will be supporting all types of business and individual clients in a wide variety of tax and accounting services. Valerie's free time is spent with family and friends – both near and far.

Amy McAlister, Office Manager

Amy has a BS degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma City University. She has over 30 years of operational management and client support experience gained while working at American Fidelity Assurance, Xerox Corporation, RSM (formerly Cole & Reed PC), and CPAOKC PLLC. She has extensive knowledge about public accounting processes and procedures as well as in‐depth technical knowledge about various mission critical applications found in most CPA firms. Amy serves as the Office Manager for Heritage CPAs PLLC so when you call the firm, you will most like first visit with Amy. During her quiet times, you’ll find Amy enjoying the great outdoors (normally with her camera close at hand), working in her flowerbeds, and spending time with family spread from Texas to Kansas.
